Features

You can now set follow-up reminders when logging communication in theBOSSapp. These appear as a new tile on your dashboard on the day they’re due, helping you track interactions that need action later.

Outlook Add In UI Update

The Outlook add-in for theBOSSapp will be receiving a visual refresh in the next few days. The update reorganises some buttons and labels to make the add-in easier to navigate but no functionality has changed.

You’ll still be able to log your email to projects, tenders and your profile, attach deliverables and access distribution lists in the same way as before.

Payroll

  • A new feature allows you to manage one-off staff payments from setup to payment such as bonuses or special allowances.

HR & Competency

  • Staff competencies are now recognised across related organisations avoiding duplicate requirements when the same skill or qualification is held in the parent group.

Improvements

Leave Requests

  • Remarks are now mandatory when applying for leave, to ensure enough context is provided for certain types like Personal Leave.

Time Off In Lieu (TOIL)

  • Improved messaging when staff try to access Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) but don’t have any available.

Public Holidays

  • Admins can now create or edit individual public holidays as needed.

User Profiles

  • Staff can no longer view documents uploaded to their profile as these may contain sensitive HR information.

Timesheets

  • The day of the week now appears alongside the date in timesheets to make entries easier to review.

Loans

  • A new “Paid Off” status helps you more clearly track when a loan has been fully repaid.

Productivity

  • Removed unnecessary checks when logging productivity, reducing errors and improving data entry.

Login Experience

  • Improved how the login form interacts with browser password managers to make logging in quicker.

Bug Fixes

Suppliers

  • Fixed an issue where suppliers would appear twice when copied from another organisation.

Compensation & Allowances

  • Addressed various behind-the-scenes issues in staff compensation and allowance processes to improve reliability.

Equipment

  • Fixed several issues when syncing equipment to Xero, including better handling of long serial numbers and general resource stability.

Microsoft Integration

  • Improved how Microsoft file sync handles connection retries to reduce errors.
  • Resolved an issue affecting the removal of users linked to Microsoft accounts.

Xero Integration

  • Fixed a bug where errors were missed if a loan payment had already been deleted in Xero.
  • Resolved issues where branding themes were not syncing correctly.

Pricing

  • Fixed how pricing is applied between organisations to ensure accuracy.
