theBOSSapp Updates 27/10/25

Feature Highlights

Recurring Jobs:

If you regularly create the same job, like monthly inspections or annual reports, Recurring Jobs can help. They let you set a job to repeat on a schedule you choose and new jobs will be created automatically in advance.

It’s a useful way to save time and make sure repeat work isn’t missed.

  • File streaming from Microsoft to BOSS has been made more robust, significantly reducing error rates in the file sync between theBOSSapp and SharePoint.

HR & Competency Jobs:

  • Generating jobs for staff competencies now runs inside a database transaction, improving data accuracy and consistency.

Bug Fixes

Testing:

  • Fixed an issue where test request worksheets without any tests weren’t being deleted properly.

Productivity:

  • Fixed a bug where the charge-out value wasn’t correctly copied when splitting productivity entries.

Staff Roles & HRIS:

  • Fixed an issue where the organisation was not being correctly assigned when updating a staff role.
  • Fixed a bug where deleted positions weren’t visible for staff who were still assigned to them.
  • Fixed a bug where allowances were doubling when employment details were updated.
  • Employment detail days now correctly flow through to HRIS.
  • Fixed an issue where staff members were not appearing correctly in jobs after updates.

Leave & Approvals:

  • When clicking ‘Transfer Approval’ on a requested leave, the approval will now correctly reference the appropriate branch.
