Performance Reviews (My Career Matters)

Performance reviews in the system are referred to as MCMs (My Career Matters). This guide covers how MCMs are created by administrators, and how they’re completed by employees and managers.


1. Setup – For System Administrators

Performance reviews are created and managed from the Organisation section.

Creating a New MCM

  1. Go to Organisation > Performance Review Templates.
  2. Click the + button to create a new performance review.

Setting Basic Details

On the Details tab:

  • Enter a name for the review.
  • Set the Check-in Frequency (e.g. Quarterly, Annually).
  • Choose a Start Date.

Each tab has its own Save button — remember to save as you go.

Adding Employee Questions

On the Employee Questions tab:

  • Use the Custom Form Builder to create the questions employees will answer.
  • For guidance on using the form builder, see the Custom Jobs documentation.

Adding Manager Questions

On the Manager Questions tab:

  • Use the Custom Form Builder to set questions for managers to answer once employees have submitted their responses.

Optional: Check-In Questions

On the Check In Questions tab:

  • Add any recurring questions you’d like included at each check-in.
  • These are also set using the custom form builder.

2. Completing an MCM – For Employees

Accessing Your MCM

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. In the Performance Reviews tile, you’ll see a review marked To Be Completed.
  3. Click the review to open your MCM.

Filling Out the Review

  • The review will open to the My Career Matters page.
  • It contains multiple sections, each with one or more questions.
  • Sections are marked ❌ until completed — they turn ✅ once finished.

Typical sections may ask about:

  • Key achievements
  • Challenges or blockers
  • Goals for the next review period
  • Training or support needs

Your progress is saved automatically, so you can return at any time to complete the review.

Submitting Your Review

  • Once all sections show ✅, a Submit button will appear.
  • Click Submit to finalise your review and notify your manager.

3. Reviewing an MCM – For Managers

Accessing Staff Reviews

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Open the Performance Reviews tile to view your team’s reviews.

Completing the Manager Section

  • Open the review once the employee has submitted it.
  • You’ll see the employee’s responses (read-only).
  • Complete the Manager Questions section below using the fields provided.

Sections may include:

  • General feedback
  • Comments on goals
  • Training or development suggestions

As with the employee view, progress is marked with ❌ and ✅.

Submitting the Manager Review

  • Once complete, click Submit to finalise the review.
  • The full MCM (employee + manager input) will be saved and locked.

Notes

  • Previous MCMs can be viewed at any time from the employee.
  • Reviews can’t be edited once submitted. Contact an administrator if changes are required.
