Introduction

The ‘Prices’ feature in theBOSSapp allows organisations to store and share price lists across clients, projects, and tenders.

There are three types of prices: Billable Items, User rates, and Test Methods (applicable if your organisation conducts soil testing).

Billable Item

This allows you to select any billable items already setup for your organisation and populates data from ‘Organisation’ > ‘Billable Items’.

From here you can choose your units (Each, per hour, per week, per day etc.) and price per unit.

User

Under User, you can assign a user’s productivity as a project cost.

All users from your organization can be selected as a price item and their position’s charge-out rate will be automatically applied. If needed, you can override this rate by manually entering a value in the price field.

When the user puts productivity towards the project, it will display on the overview tab.

Quick steps:

  1. Navigate to the project that you would like to set the productivity pricing for.
  2. Click the “Overview” tab.
  3. Click the “PRICES” tab.
  4. Click “Add Price”.
  5. Click “User”.
  6. In the ‘Item’ list, select the user who you would like to be able to add productivity as a project cost.
  7. If you would like to override the user’s charge-out rate from their position record, click the “Price” field and enter the updated rate and click “Save”.

You can now see the user’s productivity charge-out rate alongside the project’s other costs. Now, when this user adds productivity to the project, it will display on the project’s productivity tab.

The “PRODUCTIVITY” tab shows the total number of hours calculated at the user’s charge-out rate.
The table below shows a breakdown of each timesheet contributing to the total.
